James is all about the comfort factor. When he is at work he is mostly in scrubs so when he gets home, he just likes the be comfortable. That usually means an under tank in a variety of colors and jeans. When he actually does go out he wears your average long sleeved shirts and jeans, of course.

His hair is often short, maybe a bit too short for Mia's taste but all the same it's short. JR is a very avid in a variety of work out method's. He loves to play football with the guys and go to the gym. This means that his arms are well defined as well as the rest of him.

James was the first born to a pretty much arranged marriage. Both Rose and Ryan came from very wealthy families who only wanted to create more wealth. Being the first born male 'heir' to his father's fortune made the spotlight be on him a lot of the time. His parents expected a lot of things, like wonderful grades and great athletic ability.

When Missy was born things took a slight dip. The attention shifted to her, and James loved it that way. He is often sad that he couldn't help but feel grateful that his little sister is the one that had to go through a lot more hell than he did.

In highschool he started to realize that things were different in the Alley family. They ran in the same circles as the Daren family, but they never realized that things were different about the families all together. While he was discovering his ability to heal the wounded he met Mia Hugh.

She simply took his breath away and he never recovered. He has plans to propose to her as soon as he feels up to it. He knows that it will be a huge disappointment for his family, who had hopes that he would marry Grace Daren. With his family money he was able to go to a prestigious medical school and is now back in Huntley interning at the hospital, sharpening his gift for healing.

James grew up in a rather cold family, but he felt that he was always the warmth. Nothing could go wrong for him, and he loved every minute. He is a strong person, and a hardcore knight for the rights of the world. He believes in black and white, good and evil, no inbetweens or middle ground.

He is very sympthaetic and very stubborn. He won't loose unless you can annilhate him at whatever you are trying to win.
